I’ve spent over 10 years perfecting a focused approach to Grade 5 Music Theory that advances students through the syllabus in an efficient 8 hours-without dragging it out. - Major and minor keys, enharmonic equivalents
- Circle of fifths and key relationships
Intervals
- Simple and compound intervals

Chords & Cadences
- Triads and inversions
- Perfect, imperfect, and plagal cadences
Musical Instruments & Terms
- Knowledge of orchestral instruments

- Integrated practice exercises throughout the course

The 8-hour Grade 5 Music Theory Course is available for the price of 10 lessons (see current prices here). This is designed to be intensive, with each session covering the required topics in the exam. Students work directly with me on mutually agreed slots—whether to complete everything in one go or spread it over several sessions. Here’s what’s included in the package:
- 8 Hours of Live One-to-One Lessons: Conducted online via Zoom.
- Lesson Recordings for Unlimited Revision: Each lesson is recorded so students can revisit tricky areas as often as they want.
- Tailored for Advanced Learners: Designed for students with some prior theory knowledge who are ready to move quickly through the material.
- Flexible Scheduling: No fixed slots—arrange lesson times directly with me to fit mutual availability.
- Comprehensive Materials: Includes all worksheets, study resources, and revision notes (worth £150)
- Marking and Feedback: I’ll mark two practice past papers and provide detailed feedback to guide your preparation (worth £80). I can provide further papers with answers if needed, so students can mark themselves.
- Follow-up Sessions Available: If students require a little more help after the course, I’m also willing to offer follow-up one-off sessions at the going rate.
