Aural Skills Lessons
It’s extremely important for young musicians to develop their musical ears — I always regret that I started doing this too late! Music began with the human voice many centuries ago, so it is in our nature to understand and appreciate the nuances of sound. By honing their aural listening skills properly, students will develop an ability to understand music more deeply, particularly via the key elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony. There is a reason why ABRSM includes aural test as part of all their instrument exams!
My Aural Skills Lessons are designed to enhance students aural skills. Covering from Grades 1 to 8, my structured lesson plans ensure full coverage of the essential aural skills necessary entering the ABRSM instrument exams. Each lesson is followed by detailed notes to reinforce learning and track progress.
